  5. Thank you for trying this disk.  We hope that it will be of use 
  6. to you either as a reference or as an aid in corresponding with 
  7. your elected and appointed officials.
  8.  
  9. The disk was designed especially for users of WordPerfect and 
  10. WordPerfect's mail-merge system.  If you want to send letters to 
  11. members of the U. S. Congress or to California Senators and 
  12. Assembly members then all you have to do is type your master 
  13. letter and you are ready  to go.  I have written to my state and 
  14. federal representatives to make sure the information is as up to 
  15. date as possible.

  17. If you like the disk, please send $10 to M. Groff, 279 Topaz Way, 
  18. San Francisco CA 94131.  You, in turn, will receive an up-date 
  19. disk at no charge at the next election and be notified of our new 
  20. computerized card file system (when available) for easy access 
  21. to the names and addresses of your favorite politicians.

  23. There are 18 programs on this disk not counting this one.  The 
  24. first eight require access through WordPerfect and the others can 
  25. be accessed either through WordPerfect or by entering "type (name 
  26. of program)" and "enter".

  28. The first eight are:
  29.  
  30. 1.  SENATORS---This is a mail-merge ready disk for all the 
  31. members of the U. S. Senate.  Everything has been coded so all 
  32. you have to do is write your master letter and set the merge 
  33. process in operation.  
  34.  
  35. 2.  REPS---This is the same as above except it has the 
  36. names of the members of the U. S. House of Representatives.
  37.  
  38. 3.  STATESEN---Ditto for members of the California State 
  39. Senate.
  40.  
  41. 4. STATEREP---Ditto for members of California State 
  42. Legislature.
  43.  
  44. 5. SENPHONE--- lists all the members of the United States 
  45. Senate with their party affiliations and phone numbers.
  46.  
  47. 6. REPPHONE--- ditto for members of U. S. House of 
  48. Representatives.
  49.  
  50. 7. EXECUTIV--- is a list of phone numbers for the president, 
  51. his cabinet and other high officials.
  52.  
  53. 8. COMMISI--- is a phone list for the heads of the numerous 
  54. California boards and commissions.
  55.  
  56. The following programs can be accessed with or without the use of 
  57. WordPerfect:

  59. 1. STATEBOARD--- gives names and addresses for California 
  60. Boards and Commissions.  
  61.  
  62. 2. GOVERNORS--- is a list of the states, the state capitals 
  63. and the governors for each.
  64.  
  65. 3. MAYORS--- lists the mayor or city manager for most of the 
  66. major California cities.  
  67.  
  68. 4. CALIFCOU--- gives names and addresses for members of the 
  69. California Supreme Court.
  70.  
  71. 5. CABINET--- gives the names and addresses of the president, 
  72. his cabinet and heads of numerous other important executive 
  73. offices.
  74.  
  75. 6. SUPREME---gives the names, addresses and phone #'s for 
  76. members of the U. S. Supreme Court.
  77.  
  78. 7. GOVOFF--- is a list of the State of California elected 
  79. officers with their addresses and phone #'s.
  80.  
  81. 8. CALDEPT--- has the names, addresses and phone #'s of the 
  82. heads of the various California State departments.
  83.  
  84. 9.  STSENPH.  This is a list of names, party affiliations and 
  85. phone numbers for members of the California State Senate.
  86.  
  87. 10. STREPPH.  Same as above except it is for the members of the 
  88. California House of Representatives.

  92. Please feel free to make copies of this disk and give them out to 
  93. your friends or associates.  The only thing that I ask is that 
  94. you don't remove my name from the disk before doing so.
